Employers have an obligation under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and Approved Code of Practice (ACOP L74) to make adequate and appropriate First Aid Provision for their workforce.

It is recommended that someone is able to undertake First Aid duties at all times when people are at work.

Mike Grice has been qualified as a Lifeguard for over 10 years and has extensive experience training pool related courses in both the public and private leisure industries.

During his time working as a Teacher and Examiner for the National Rescue Standard (NARS) he has trained over 300 Pool lifeguards across the country. Mike is part of the senior training team as a Moderator within the STA (Swimming Teachers Association).
