MG Training UK Ltd has been working closely with a large security operative company to develop a traffic marshal course that fits the purpose of security guards on construction sites.
The course content includes:
- Basic Construction Law regarding traffic management
- Who to allow on site
- When it is not safe for a vehicle to be allowed access
- Hazard analysis
- Risk Management for directing vehicles
- Correct hand signals for directing vehicles
The course is assessed in two ways:
1: A practical assessment to demonstrate knowledge of directing a vehicle
2: A theoretical assessment via a multi-choice question paper
By the end of the course candidates will have demonstrated correct signaling to direct vehicles and also correct questioning of vehicle drivers at the gate entrance.
